Aims of the collaboration
To develop a comparative study of English Medium Instruction (EMI) and intercultural communication in Higher Education, and to further collaboration with other institutions in relation to language practices in international universities.

- Public Lecture: English as a Lingua Franca
- Centre for Global Englishes seminars
- Graduate student discussion groups and seminars
- Research activities: expansion of the original project to include 7 further institutions in Australia, China, Japan, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Spain.

- Finalisation of data collection methods and analytical frameworks for project: "Linguistic diversity on the international campus"
- Attendance at 8th ELF conference, Beijing, with other project partners
- Preparation for future publications

- Preparation for future publication.

- Ongoing preparation of book publication, involving all project partners, and journal article.
- Preparation for end of project colloquium in June 2017 at the University of Helsinki, prior to 10th International ELF Conference.
