My research is on safe, inclusive, and secure digital technologies for health that empower people to live independently. I teach students the fundamentals needed to create these and the principles to design them for people’s needs
Developing medical devices needs close partnership between engineers, health care professionals and patients. My research and teaching involve working with these groups to improve prosthetic limb design
I fuse control system engineering with data analytics to identify patterns for precision medicine and to help identify biomarkers. In my teaching, I also combine fundamental theoretical concepts with hands-on application to show students how these can be applied to health
