Alumni Email Service

Alumni who graduated from an undergraduate and postgraduate taught programme in summer 2013 or later can access a free alumni email account. This also applies to PGR's who completed after 6 February 2019. You can use it as a professional email for business correspondence as well as for staying in touch with University academics and friends.

The alumni email address is easy to remember because it is based on your student email but with the word 'alumni' added. For example, abc123@southampton.ac.uk becomes abc123@southamptonalumni.ac.uk. You will still be able to receive email on your old email address e.g abc123@southampton.ac.uk but sending email from this account will be sent from the email address abc123@southamptonalumni.ac.uk.

When will I be able to use my alumni email address?

Your alumni email account is created automatically by iSolutions after your qualification – this happens approximately 120 days after the student office mark you as qualified.

How do I access my alumni email account?

Alumni email accounts are accessed via www.outlook.com/southamptonalumni.ac.uk. Login with your username (the same as when you were a student) in the form username@soton.ac.uk.

Please remember that:

Your login account will be the one you had as student or PGR (username@soton.ac.uk). Your password will be the most recent one you used for your student email account.
The email address you access with that login, which is username@southamptonalumni.ac.uk.
