Mayflower Young Company has reached maximum capacity and a waiting list is in operation.
Mayflower Young Company is for young adult theatre makers aged 18-30 based in and around Southampton. Meeting weekly at MAST Mayflower Studios the company generate new ideas, develop theatre knowledge through masterclasses and workshops as well as undertake rehearsals for productions to make raw, epic, ground-breaking theatre that emotionally engages and sparks debate and conversation.
Mayflower Young Company is for individuals who are excited about performing, want to create electrifying and refreshing work whilst developing as theatre makers.
All sessions will take place at MAST Mayflower Studios on a Tuesday evening from 7pm – 9pm. Please note, Young Company will not run during half term w/c 12 February 2024.
Mayflower Young Company focuses on developing participants practice and encouraging them to work collaboratively exploring a range of theatre styles and techniques. Mayflower Young Company will create innovative and ground-breaking theatre in a supportive and fun environment.
Fee includes:
- 10 weekly sessions with experienced theatre practitioners.
- Industry professional masterclasses.
- Performance opportunities.
- Opportunities to see live theatre at either MAST Mayflower Studios or Mayflower Theatre.

Price
Payment
Payments can be paid in full for the whole term by 09/01/2024 or a payment plan can be selected. This will give you the option to pay in three instalments of £40. The payment plan must be created by 09/01/2024. The second instalment will be taken automatically on the date the payee has elected to create the payment plan on.
Alternatively, payments can be made in full.

Bursary: £60
There are limited number of bursaries available each term. These must be applied for on a termly basis and are not guaranteed for the whole year. These can be awarded on a financial or talent basis.
Applicants applying for a bursary (which is half the standard fee) should complete their application before term starting accompanied by the first instalment of £60. You will be notified by the beginning of term whether your application has been successful.
