A large question mark on it's side containing lights

We aim to build on existing interdisciplinary ethics teaching, and to nurture interdisciplinary research and outreach.

About

We organise ethics-focused events, and showcase ethics-related work underway at the University. We have members from schools and departments across the University. These include the sciences, humanities, social sciences and medicine.

Our members are also active in a variety of research centres. These centres explore topics like citizenship, law, globalisation and intercultural relations.

We aim to nurture collaborations across the University on ethics-related issues. We also promote ethics-focused events.

Our annual lectures include Ethical Challenges, and Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

We host a Southampton Ethics Centre Seminar each semester. We offer online workshops exploring ethics in relation to a range of topics. These include artificial intelligence, race, and climate change.

Our regular bulletins contain information about ethics-related events and activities across the university.
